Hanging around

We had just finished up the Egyptian extra credit 3D project last night...and the conversation went like this..."mommy, can you make belgian waffles for breakfast? Because you know I love them and you make THE BEST ones! *insert groan* And yet I woke up and made's hard to say no to this face! (But I DO do it from time to time!) :)

Rain, rain, rain...

It's been raining all day...LOTS of rain...and even a couple weird tornado warnings. But these pictures make me laugh and love the fact that my boys are still boys and want to go play in the rain.

Might as well let the dog have some fun...nothing like a smelly, wet dog!

This sweet, little stray dog showed up a few days ago, pretty beat up. Her neck is tore up from something and she's kinda skittish, but will stop and let you pet her. My animal lover was giving her some love. (The other day she was hanging with the kids at the bus stop and even got on the bus!) I hate that it appears someone dumped her here in town and hope someone takes her in and gives her a loving home, because she seems to have plenty of love to share.

Stormy days

It's been raining a little bit (in our area)...and sometimes a lot, for the past 20 days. Some days a good storm and some days just a sprinkle. But something is better than nothing...and we went way too long without I will not complain. But I have to say, we had one monster of a storm 2 nights ago. There was enough lightening to keep the sky lit up most of the night...along with all of us.

The next morning we went out to play! It's been a long while since we had a big puddle to play can you tell them to "stay out"...when the dog's the worst of the bunch! :)

A precious tribute...

Ward Anderson lost his young life at the tender age of 2,
during the summer of 2005. The community came together and
donated $40,000...and a playground was created.

p.s. If you notice under the statue, when they poured the
cement for the statue, they had all the local kids put their
handprints in it...fitting!

More puppy pictures...

Our (temporary) puppy is determined to become a
basketball player...or maybe globetrotter?

Diego & Lauren

What sweet kiddos and they so made Grandpa smile. He
loved those kids like they were his own grandkids. We
cooked out one night and I sat and just snapped away.
I almost love taking pictures unobserved and catching kids
"in action" more than "posing" them. Lauren was a little harder
because she was closer to me most of the time and I was
using my longer lens, so I don't have as many of her. But Diego
and Hunter were playing baseball and Diego is animated, I was
able to get a lot of cute ones of him.

Nothing exciting

Suffering from poison ivy and chiggers, I haven't ventured too far out of the house. The heat just makes my skin crawl! But I did go out the other night to see if there were any butterflies hanging around. Nope. I was lucky enough to see a couple deer chasing each other in the field. Not the greatest pictures, but they were fun to watch.
