More animals

She is my walking buddy. She'll do a lap around the field with me, investigating as she goes, but then running to catch up.

She's not "grumpy" either. She was just running toward me in the sun.

Unfortunately on this walk, she decided to roll in "something" and she really did stink. The kids took care of that and gave her a bath. I really should have gotten a picture of it, because she was not happy and it was hilarious. But, she smelled better!

Country living

I love living in the country. Sometimes you just find the craziest things!

DSC_0013

Farmers tend to stand these types of rocks upright in their fields as "decoration"...apparently this one is always decorated as the Easter Bunny because of its shape.

Donkey love?

I was ahead of the game and had several posts already
done, but I love this picture, so I'm going to jump it to
the head of the line...and have 2 posts today!

Went back out to the farm just to get out of the house
for a bit and gave the donkey's a few minutes time. One of
them is standoff-ish, but the other one...oh man, he's a
pest! And a camera hog!

Just love this...Hunter, the animal whisper-er!

Sledding...no wait, horses

I was going to post pictures from sledding, but someone
wants his horsey pictures posted first. :p I'm already
hearing about how sore he is...blah, blah, blah...just like
having kids home all week...I'm tuning them ALL out for the
rest of the long weekend! (Sledding pictures tomorrow) :)

DSC_0014-1

Silly boy...he loves his Christmas cowboy hat too! It's
nice and warm...and smashable! How awesome is that?! Pack
it in the suitcase and it pops right back into shape! Sweet!
No more crying that his hat is out of shape! The boys have
them too, but I have yet to get pictures with them wearing them.

DSC_0027

I can just hear them...psst...hey, you dump your guy and
I'll dump mine and we'll go back to the barn and warm up! ;)

DSC_0029-1

I'm still working on adding textures. Not 100% happy with
this one, but it's not too bad.

DSC_0030-1

Three Stooges! That's Big Jim on the left...he's outgrown the
belt, so you have to ride him bareback. Ride on Randy!

Bawhahahaha...this horse made this face everytime I took
it's picture!

DSC_0067-1

This one has not been broken...apparently the low man on
the totem pole is going to draw the short straw...if there
even is a drawing! :)

Saturday drive

After getting rid of the kids for the night, it was such
a pretty day, that I wanted to take some pictures. Rounding up
my chauffeur, he was happy to drive "Ms Daisy" over and around
the backroads of our beautiful state. It was in my heart to take
some horse pictures...I'm not sure why, but I usually listen to
my heart. Fortunately, there are plenty of them around!

This tree has had my attention for the last week as it changes
colors. It's so beautiful and grand standing tall in town.

DSC_0071

We didn't have to go far to find horses! These guys were
very curious...except the black one who was kinda a snob. She
eventually moved a little closer, but still stayed back.

She turned her head as if to say "this is my good side".

Sunrise

There's something about this hill that has always fascinated me. And
I really don't know why. I've taken several pictures at different times
of day and so far sunrise is my favorite. The only thing that is missing
is the lone cow that's been up there when I've not had my camera!
