Bunnies

We had a "God" moment last week (during VBS last
week) of all things. They were talking about reconizing
"God" sightings. This was our moment, when we discovered
a nest of baby bunnies that had survived the lawn
mower in their shallow nest. They have since gotten big
enough and have left the nest. Don't worry, there's NO
shortage of bunnies around here. I'm sure we'll find more!

This guy/gal was hanging out one morning while I
enjoyed my coffee on the deck. (It's a katydid by the way.)

Where in the world...

has the month of July gone? I've just now gotten
around to pulling the memory card from the begining
of the month. Memories of a patriotic holiday and a
cold dip in the waterfall pool...seems so long ago.
Scary!

It's so hard to photograph waterfalls when it's so bright
and sunny out!

95 degrees out and my 2 want to fuss at how cold
the water is...geez!

All boy!...and I SWEAR I feed them!

Time...or the lack of

There's so much I want to do...need to do and yet
I can't seem to find the time nor motivation...I think
it's heat related. It's just too darn hot to do anything!
Let's hope it breaks soon...for everyones sake! In the
meantime, I'm working VBS this week...Oh my...'nuf said!

While waiting for kids to arrive, I took advantage
of some good light with my cutie!

3 days

It has taken me 3 days from start to finish,
to can 2 big trash bags of beans that were
given to us. It's been a LONG 3 days!

From start...

To finish...12 quarts and 36 1/2 quarts!

I have enough beans left over to attempt a pickled
bean recipe...the family's gonna love being guinea pigs!

Happy Independence Day

To our Soliders, past and present, Thank You for keeping
the 'free' in Freedom!

Our local celebration was held 2 nights ago. We had some
drama earlier in the day, so I wasn't sure I'd get to
watch the fireworks with the kids or not. Everything
calmed down for a moment and I sat with the kids at our
local park and enjoyed our time together. It was nice to
see so many people come out and enjoy them. Small
town American at it's finest!
