Sunrise

There's something about this hill that has always fascinated me. And
I really don't know why. I've taken several pictures at different times
of day and so far sunrise is my favorite. The only thing that is missing
is the lone cow that's been up there when I've not had my camera!

Pumpkin guts!

...and it all started with the flick of a pumpkin seed. I
couldn't help myself...when the seed stuck to his forehead,
it went downhill from there! You can see some of the remnents
of our pumpkin guts fight on the shoulder of Maison's shirt. It's
the "little" things the kids will always remember! And nailing
mom upside the head with pumpkin guts will go down in history!

Pumpkins & fat lips!

Poor Hunter has had such a bad weekend. After loosing part of
his front tooth Friday night, he was trying to make the best of the
weekend and playing football with his brother. Well, kicking the ball
back and forth. Not 2 minutes after I said DON'T let that ball bounce
and hit you in the face, the ball does exactly that! We all said Ohh
when it did and then OHHH when he turned and had a bloody mouth! Luckily
it was just a split lip, but add a fat lip on top of the tooth (and a
mouth full of canker sores) and you've got a mess! He didn't want any
pictures posted of his tooth, so I have fixed the one in this picture,
but you can see his fat lip in the picture too! Poor kid!

Broken

Hunter broke his front tooth last night. Oh the joys of parenthood!
Remembering a full/happy smile! I think the collage turned out pretty
good. Haven't decided which picture will go on the Christmas card yet,
but I have some good ones to choose from!

A couple of kids

So, Hunter comes riding home on his bike from being at a friends house
and is so excited. He says I found a cool frog! "Good for you" I say...and then
he proceeds to pull the darn thing out of his POCKET!! That would be Hunter!

Not the best picture, but he was in a hurry because he was cold. Cry baby! 8)

Barn X 2

I loved the barn picture so much that I decided to take
it from another angle...same time of day, but the sun
was out chasing the fog away.

Leaves

The joy of jumping into leaves as a child...

DSC_0027

DSC_0028

Took some really nice fall pictures of the kids...
it's late...I'll post them tomorrow. But I couldn't
resist these 2...they really made me laugh!

Now, go outside and jump in some leaves! It'll make
you feel like a kid again! (We had to "borrow" a yard
that had leaves too!)

I took a drive...

So I treated myself to a drive today. Just got in the car
and headed off. It was a glorious day.

EDIT: Love this so much I went back and inserted the larger picture.

This was taken yesterday when I took a short drive,
looking for some cool fog pictures. Found the barn
instead. Heard a noise on the side of me and turned
to investigate...found HIM checking me out!

Hello Mr Bull!

Bedford Lake...not as much color as I was hoping

Leaving Bedford Lake...wish the picture would
have shown all the leaves falling. They are really
hard to see.

Welcome Fall!

Technically it's a Kentucky fall, but the colors were lovely.
They are about 1-2 weeks ahead of us on the color
changes, so I will look forward to our peak shortly.

I had been waiting for the glass lake all weekend. It was
never completely smooth except for about 5 minutes. And
that included me getting from the house to the lake! And
if you look to the right, a boat was coming, so I was
snapping away, trying to make sure I got all the shots
that I wanted. I think I succeeded!

Really?!

So my 7th grader asked to go to the last middle school football
game. I reluctantly went along. It was a crisp, fall evening. I took
a few pictures...THEN, saw this...

Remember, I said MIDDLE school football. This dude's carting
around a $5000+ piece of equipment to photograph the MIDDLE
school football game. Titans, sure...Packers, of course...
but rural, backroads country middle school? Well, why not?

UPDATE: I saw Mr. Fancy Pants' pictures in the paper...nice
pictures, but nothing my camera can't do. And they certainly
didn't WOW me!

I fear...

I fear that my hummers have finally left and headed further
south. Our 90+ heat turned into 60 degree brrr and I have
not seen them in over a week. :(  These are from 2 weeks
ago, right after we had a wonderful downpour.

So long little fella's...you gave me much joy this year and many
wonderful pictures. 'Til we meet again in the spring...please hurry back!

i.hate.mondays!

Really needed a laugh this morning, so I am posting
a video that cracks.me.up.

video
To explain: He thought the dogs "shock" coller was
no big deal...and tried it out. What he didn't realize
was that IT SHOCKS! (Well, he did, but didn't
realize the POWER 2 little 3volt batteries
can produce! After getting the initial shock,
his hand had no control he shocks himself a
2nd time! Priceless! And notice at the end
when Chloe comes up to him and seems to
understand..."Dude, I've been there"...moment.
Sorry the video's so shaky...there was no way
I could take video and NOT laugh/shake!

Worship in the Woods

Maison's Sunday school class was going to Worship in the Woods
and I decided to go along. Hunter came with because
daddy was working and I thought he'd have fun too.
He did...

Maison contemplating the tug-o-war/mud pit!

Taking position near the BACK!

Sidewalk Prophets ROCKED...Hunter wanted
their autograph...kinda hard when they are singing!

 Nice
