Babysitting

So we are puppy-sitting for the neighbors who have been
displaced due to a fire/smoke damage. 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2
boys and 1 big boy...holy moly! But he's pretty good
overall and loves to play basketball! Got these today
while waiting for my hummers to make an appearance!

Kinda gross, but cool too

Trying to get a good picture of my hummingbirds, I noticed this
little guy hanging on my patio table. Not a big fan, but it was a
cool distraction...

Now back to learning patience on the little hummer buggers!

The other day when I was hooking her out,

she noticed the deer before I did and about

took my arm off. Yesterday, I noticed the deer

as I clicked it to her collar! You would think I

would be smart enough to check for the deer

before I tie her up!!

Stopped by a friends house a few days ago and took a few
pictures of her granddaughter. What a baby doll. Here's a few...

h.o.m.e.

It was a long 12 days to be gone, but we got what we needed
done, so that's good. I'm slowly getting back into the swing of
things and FINALLY went and got my Mimosa flower picture!
They are fading fast and will probably be gone within the week.

Diego & Lauren

What sweet kiddos and they so made Grandpa smile. He
loved those kids like they were his own grandkids. We
cooked out one night and I sat and just snapped away.
I almost love taking pictures unobserved and catching kids
"in action" more than "posing" them. Lauren was a little harder
because she was closer to me most of the time and I was
using my longer lens, so I don't have as many of her. But Diego
and Hunter were playing baseball and Diego is animated, I was
able to get a lot of cute ones of him.

One more day before we close up and head home. Not sure

I'll ever be back, so I wanted to enjoy the lake and the

lighthouse again. The boys love the park and I've got many

memories here.

A couple more lighthouse conversions

I still like the version that includes the ducks. This is basically

the same picture without the ducks. But everyone's opinion is

is different. Same way with the b&white conversion. I like the

one below and others will like the lighter version at the bottom.

The darker one gives a "gloomy" feeling and makes me "see" the

fog over the lake. I will go before we leave and get a shot where

you can see into the lake.

This is Jack. Jack is a d.o.g. (Pssst, I don't think

he knows it.) Jack cracks.me.up. He's big, bad...and mellow

...but he's a cool d.o.g.

The lone fisherman

I was about 10 minutes too late on getting the foggy

lighthouse picture, so I converted it to black & white.

I do still like the original, but I think the black & white

is better overall.

I think this is the last of my 4th photos. There's a few here/there that I will go back and putz with, but I am whittling it down. Last I checked I've got 275 in my album. And I know there are more I can delete once I have time to scroll through them.

July 4th, 2010

Decided to take the "boys" down to Rutledge Falls...

basically because it was h.o.t. and the water is ice cold.

And as you climb down the rocks, the air temperature is

a lot cooler also. But as we headed further down the stream,

the temps went back up. Everyone (but me) was in/out of the

water most of the time, so THEY were still cool. I forgot my

water shoes, so I just walked the bank/path, which was fine.

No chance of slipping on the slick rocks with my camera!

my little delete button! But, I still have a few more to download

and I know I captured a cool butterfly taking off on Monday,
